Uncontrolled bleeding is the leading cause of preventable death from injury, but anyone can learn how to control bleeding and save a life. Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and a call to action that cultivates grassroots efforts to empower bystanders to help in a bleeding emergency. Dell Medical School sponsors the UT Austin chapter of Stop the Bleed. In this free training session, you will learn basic bleeding control techniques such as direct pressure, tourniquet use, and wound packing.
